Thangles Buck-A-Block Program Details

Series 7 starts in January 2011. The fabric I'll be using is the
beautiful Black Bird Acres collection, designed by Nancy
Murty for Andover. New for this year - you'll be making two
blocks per month! I'm sure many of you have noticed over the
years how most blocks can be done as both a negative and a
positive of each other if you reverse the color placement, and
that's exactly how the 2011 program will work.

Each block finishes up at 6.5". The finished quilt size is 67" x
94". The finishing kit will be $75, which includes all the fabric
needed to make the quilt top as shown. As always, there is
no
obligation
to purchase the finishing kit, but ordering early is
highly recommended.

Any customer who would like to participate is welcome.
There's just one small requirement for you to join: you must
purchase a pack of the correct size Thangles from CCQ.  This
will provide you with all the Thangles you need to complete all
the quilt blocks, with plenty to spare.

Stop by the shop any time after January 1st to get started!

Update - January 7, 2011

As I was sewing together this year's blocks, it occurred to me
that the final quilt top assembly will be so much easier if the
blocks are sewn into their final 12" version each month instead
of waiting until the end of the year. Therefore, I'll be offering
everyone their choice of the regular monthly kit for $1, or an
expanded version for $4. The expanded monthly kit will contain
all the fabric to make that month's 6" blocks plus the star border
that goes around each one. And since you'll be getting many of
your fabrics as you go, the finishing kit cost would fall to only
$40. How does that sound?
Regular Buck-a-Blocks - $1
Expanded Block version - $4
